With what has so far felt like a very long break in between races we still have time to dispose of before we admire the Shanghai Sunshine. So whilst we wait we continue to look backwards and forwards at Formula One in 2012 with 10% of the season already completed.
question 1
In the past two races we have seen four different constructors on the podium. With the recent break do you think that any teams in particular will have made a large improvement or will this only occur by the European leg of the calendar?
-
@hedgeryhoops : I would expect for a team like Mercedes to have ironed out some of their problems, 1 point from the first two races is shocking really when compared to their ambitions for this campaign. But I'm not expecting much improvement from teams until they reach Europe.
-
@EmTheEmu : Lotus will improve barring bad luck, only reason they haven't got a podium up to now
-
@NigelBeechey : As it happens I dont feel we have had a 'proper' race yet where we can establish any teams dominance? I can't see any large improvements being in place for China however, in the hope of a close season, I hope that it remains as such -just as long as McLaren win the championships this year.

question 2
This weekend has seen the 'kick off' for some of the lower series including BTCC, Clio Cup and (during the malaysian race weekend) IndyCar. Have you watched any of these series and if so why and how?
-
@MarussiaF1Will : I watched the opening round of the GP2 season at Malaysia, really enjoyed it. Was following Marussia Carlin. I'll be watching the GP3 too when it starts. I watched it on SkySportsF1.
-
@rkid84 : I will be watching on Sky Sports, dodgy streams and spending thousands of £'s travelling to watch IndyCars in May & June, taking in the Indy 500, Detroit GP and Texas Motor Speedway.
-
@jo_johnson63 : I have watched both IndyCar and BTCC for the first time. IndyCar because I wanted to see how Rubens did in the race which I watched on SKY. I watched BTCC on ITV4 for the first time this weekend as I was F1 starved. I absolutely LOVED it! So much so that I am going to book Oulton Park for June. I'm also starting to follow Nicolas Hamilton in the Clio Cup, not only because he's Lewis's brother but because I am so impressed with his guts and ambition to succeed against the odds.
-
@JackLeslieF1 : I watched the BTCC and IndyCar. One was on SkyGo and the other was on ITV4. I really like these forms of motorsport and they are both so different to F1. I have been to a good few BTCC races too and they are awesome to watch.

question 3
With the Crazy Chinese grand prix fast approaching it will be the first grand prix that the BBC will have live and be in direct competition with SKY. Who do you think will the channel the majority choose and which will you be watching live?
-
@BenF1_ : A very interesting question, considering it will be the BBC's first head to head with SKY. I fully expect the free-to-view BBC to comprehensively beat Sky in viewing figures. Personally I think it will be the BBC for me, mainly because I only have SKY Go, not SKY TV, not to mention I believe the BBC's team works better than Sky. It is only Martin Brundle that would tempt me to consider their team.
-
@Donz358 : I think the BBC will win when it comes to pre and post coverage but most fans will flick over to Sky for the Brundle/Croft commentary. I’m going to Sky+ both so I don’t miss anything!
-
@NotOptaF1 : 2.8 The number of illegal streams will be reduced by 2.8m due to live BBC coverage in China. Curtailed.

bonus question
Vettel referred to Karthikeyan as a 'cucumber' post the Malaysian GP but if you could represent a driver of your choice as a food which food would it be and why? (This can be in reference physically, psychologically or in their racing performance)
-
@Iceladyy : I like the idea of representing Buemi as a banana, I can't really say why though, it was the first thing that came to my mind when reading the question! :D
-
@ChrisJ_F1 : Kimi as a Magnum Ice Cream... need I say anymore?
-
@waheedparker :
Schumi: Champion Toffee! Because that's what he is.
Vettel: Small Champion Toffee :)
Rosberg: Lettuce; because women love it but it actually does nothing.
Hamilton: Burnt toast; because he could've been good but often overcooks it.
